About Us:
ASD is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to creating, strengthening, and sustaining healthy communities by providing quality, affordable, service-enriched housing to economically disadvantaged individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to join our leadership team and help drive our mission forward.

The Opportunity:
As the CHRO, you will serve as a strategic leader, developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with our mission and support our long-term objectives. You will oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations, with a focus on fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture. The CHRO will play a crucial role in expanding our HR department, mentoring the current HR Manager, and leading efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership.
  • Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong background in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and compliance.
  • Ability to align HR strategies with the mission of a nonprofit organization.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience leading DEI initiatives in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to nonprofits.
  • Proven ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals and mission-driven outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with culturally, racially, and sexually diverse populations, and a commitment to promoting an inclusive workplace.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Professional In Human Resources (Required)

WORK HOURS:
Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SALARY RANGE:

$85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
